Operating Recommendations

  1. Place suitable clay firmly in the centre of the turntable.
  2. Create an opening in the centre with a pottery tool and gradually widen it.
  3. Use pottery tools to shape and trim the piece.
  4. Maintain an even rotation speed; excessive speed can throw clay from the wheel.
  5. Avoid adding too much water, as overly soft clay can be difficult to shape.
  6. The motor is relatively small, so excessive pressure can stop the turntable. Use pottery tools to assist with shaping.
